Chemistry Department


The Department of Chemistry provides students with the background to needed to enter graduate school, medical or dental school, pursue careers as professional chemist, or careers as high school teachers.

Degree Programs:

The chemistry program is fully certified by the Committee of Professional Training of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The Department offers the bachelor of science degree, which can be obtained by following one of the two curricula. The "Professional" concentration follows the guidelines set forth by the American Chemical Society. It is prescribed for students who wish to prepare for graduate careers as professional chemist. The "General" concentration allows the student more flexibility in the science courses that are taken and is structured to accommodate those interested in satisfying professional requirements for medicine, dentistry, and similar programs.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
