Pre-Freshman Academy participants receive textbook awards in the amount of $500 for the freshman year. Textbook awards are provided to STEM majors who complete registration as full time students, and enroll in courses that follow their curriculum program of study. Students who change to a non science major or who leave the university are required to return the textbooks purchased by the program to the program office (Carver Hall 212)
Each student must return textbooks purchased by the program by the end of each semester period of their freshman year to the CMAST Project office, and must continue as a science major in a STEM discipline with a GPA of 2.5 or better.
CMAST is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
