The Phonathon will raise thousands of dollars for student scholarships from Alumni, Businesses, Parents, Friends, and Faculty-Staff, who have partnered with the University. Starting in September, students from Grambling State University will be calling alumni and parents from a brand new Tiger Phonathon Center from the ROTC building on campus.
Why is the Student Phonathon important?Since tuition and fees do not cover the actual operating cost, the University must raise additional funds to support its many programs. Each year, Grambling State University provides over millions of dollars in student scholarships and Financial Aid. An Annual Fund gift specifically designated for student scholarships provides an opportunity for alumni, parents, and friends to offer tangible support to students in need of scholarship assistance.
Does my gift make a difference?Every gift makes a difference, and ongoing support from our donors is critical. As a public institution, we rely heavily upon the support of alumni, parents, and friends of the University who believe in our mission. In addition, participation in corporate matching gift programs frequently enables donors to double or triple the impact of their gift. See your Human Resource Department for more details about participation and match levels.
Why is my participation so critical? In addition to providing financial assistance to our students, the participation of alumni who give to the University helps inform "alumni satisfaction", allowing for better quality of education and facilities.
Gift Club RecognitionBoth large and small gifts reflect a commitment to stewardship and continue to make the Grambling State University experience possible for students. Aside from the personal enrichment you will receive by making a gift to the Annual Fund, your participation will qualify you for participation in one of several gift clubs established to recognize individuals for their generous support of Grambling State University. All donors will be recognized according to Gift Club levels and printed in the Honor Roll of Donors published annually in the alumni publication, Grambling State University Magazine, formerly Visions.
