Campus Update: 4 Big Ways You Can Help Celebrate Founder’s Week

Founders Week, to be held September 23 – 27, 2019, is more than opportunity to celebrate our past. Check out these big opportunities to learn about our legacy and meet living Grambling State legends who will visit our campus.

1. Founders Week Community Breakfast | September 23, 2019
Kick off Founder’s Week with entertainment and inspiration in the Black & Gold Room. Breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Rose Wright in the Office of Institutional Advancement at by email wrightr@gram.edu or phone (318) 274-2217. Pick up tickets at 1 Dickerson Street, Grambling, LA 71254 or pay at the door. Tickets are $12 each and tables can be reserved for $120.

2. Founder’s Day Convocation | September 24, 2019
Don’t miss the Founder’s Day Convocation with guest speaker Dr. Cynthia Jackson, President of Central State University. Join us at 11:00 a.m. observe our 118th Anniversary of Founder’s Day.

3. Employee Bring it Home Brunch | September 25, 2019
All Grambling State University employees are welcome to brunch at 11:30 a.m. in the Black & Gold room. Come Bring It Home enjoy student performances and a catered meal with President Gallot.

4. Alma Mater Challenge – Win $100 Tiger Bucks
Do you know your Alma Mater? Show us your stuff! Groups and individual students will record a one-minute video performing their version of the Grambling State University Alma Mater, then post to social media with the hashtags #gsufoundersday2019 and #gsufoundersdayDYKYAMC. All contestants must follow @gsucampusliving. The top three videos (determined by most likes and 100% accuracy of Alma Mater lyrics) will perform their version of the song in McCall Dining Hall for a final judgment from the audience and a panel of judges.
