Students Transition to Campus Resources and Information

Dear Tiger Students & Parents:

Our various teams both within Student Affairs and across campus, are busy planning for fall. Believe me when I say that we are eager to welcome new and returning students back to campus. Hard to believe that it’s been almost six months since I have last seen my returning students; and I am truly looking forward to meeting my new students of #Gramfam24! We know that innovative programming and activities complement academics to round out the Grambling student experience. Because we recognize the importance of student life, I would like to share additional information as you prepare to make your way to Grambling.

As we prepare for the fall, we know there will be times we will ask for your patience and flexibility during these interesting times. Your full cooperation and support will be essential to the success of the upcoming semester. The circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are fluid and ever-changing. Our planning process has been, and will continue to be, dynamic and evolving. What I write to you today, may well change in the days and weeks ahead. We have adapted the usual student activities, campus services, and programs with guidance and insights from our University, national organizations, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and local/state public health agencies and experts.

Yet there remains one constant in all of our efforts: that even in this “new normal”, our team is committed to providing a meaningful campus experience for all students, no matter how different campus will look and feel as we do it.

I have heard from many of you with questions about what you can expect when you arrive on campus next week. For your convenience, I’ve grouped this information into three categories: Taking Care of Your Health and Safety; Move-In Day; and Student Experiences.
