The College of Arts and Sciences Carries the Baton Of Excellence Onward

Grambling, LA – The College of Arts and Sciences continues to prove that it is indeed the College of Impact! Recently, eight of its recent graduates and four of its former graduates have made phenomenal accomplishments:

Dawn Clements, Visual and PerForming Arts major (Theatre Concentration) will enroll in Columbia University, (New York City) in September. She will embark upon a plan of study that will lead to the Master of Fine Arts in Acting,

Anthony Cherry, a Political Science major has been accepted by two Laws schools to seek the jurist Doctorate. The Thurgood Marshall School of law has made an offer that provides a Full Tuition Scholarship. In addition, the Howard University Law School has also accepted Mr. Cherry. He is still considering his options.

Willie Miller, a Visual and performing Arts Major (Theatre and Dance Concentrations) has been accept into the covet Pace University, (New York City) Masters of Fine Arts Program in Acting,

Melanie Williams also a Visual and Performing Arts Major (Theatre Concentration), has been signed with Darcel Monero Agency and has already started “lighting up” the movie screen. She will be featured in a new production being produced by Oprah entitled “Queen Sugar.” Melanie has worked over the past semester as an off-camera stand-in for several celebrities and is continuing to make her mark

Jovia Smith (Miss Grambling 2015-16) a Visual and Performing Arts major (Studio Art Concentration) will study this summer at Harvard University where she has been awarded a full scholarship to learn the specifics or Architectural Design. She has also been accepted by Florida lnternational University to pursue her Master of Fine Arts in the field full-time in the fall.
