School of Nursing Nurse Educator Program

The Nurse Educator Program is a full-time, twenty-one month curriculum leading to a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Classes generally meet one day per week. Clinical experiences are arranged in the learner’s geographic area by clinical faculty.

Students enrolled in the Nurse Educator program will complete core graduate course (Advanced Nursing Theory, Advanced Nursing Research and Advanced Pathophysiology) as well as fundamental courses in educational foundations, curriculum development and teaching methodologies. The capstone experience for the curriculum is the Practicum in Nursing Education. Additionally students select a clinical focus for their curriculum plan, either Maternal/Child or Adult/Geriatric.
