College of Arts and Sciences
The College of Arts and Sciences is composed of twelve (12) academic departments:
Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, English and Foreign Languages, Family and Consumer Sciences, History,Mathematics and Physics, Music, Political Science and Public Administration, Sociology/Psychology, and Visual and Performing Arts. The College of Arts and Sciences strives to (1) provide an environment that fosters
and encourages excellence in scholarship by students and faculty; (2) prepare students
for graduate and professional schools as well as for careers related to their fields
of study; (3) promote faculty research and creativity; and (4) prepare students for
living in a dynamic global society.
