VITAE
David Kaul has been in theatre consistently since 1982. He has a BA from the University
of Alabama and an MA from LA Tech. For 15 years, he was the Tech Director for the
Strauss Theatre Center and its General Manager for two. He has been the Production
Designer for The Miss Louisiana Pageant, the Coca-Cola centennial celebration, and
has designed sets for local television stations. He was the Art Director for the movie
Fearless Faith. David has designed prolifically for all the arts organizations of
NELA. Since 2000, Mr. Kaul is also a LA state-licensed contractor in the specialty
of stage lighting, rigging, and drapery installations. He is a past President of stagehands
union I.A.T.S.E., local 668; Adjunct Faculty for ULM and LDCC; Instructor and TD at
GSU since 2105, where he served as a Faculty Senator, on the University Curriculum,
