Dr. Morsheda T. Hassan is an accomplished academic with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. She currently serves as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Grambling State University, where she has held various positions since 1995, including Assistant Professor of Quantitative Analysis and Instructor of Accounting and Economics. Dr. Hassan's educational background includes a Doctor of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University (2002), an MBA from Grambling State University (1994), and a B.S. from the University of Helwan in Egypt (1976). Her teaching portfolio encompasses courses such as Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and Managerial Accounting. Beyond Grambling State University, she has also contributed to academia through her roles at Wiley College, where she served as Professor of Business Administration and Chair of the Accounting Department.
Dr. Hassan's research contributions are substantial, with over 40 publications in refereed journals, 60 proceedings/presentations, and 8 chapters in professional books. Her scholarly work has been recognized with numerous research awards from esteemed conferences, including the Allied Academies Conference and the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines. Her research interests are diverse, encompassing areas such as financial analysis, economic modeling, and the impact of governmental policies on economic indicators. Dr. Hassan's dedication to excellence in teaching and research has been acknowledged through various honors, including the Larry Lundy Endowed Chair in Business and membership in Beta Gamma Sigma.
