Biography

Dr. Kevin Sly is a dedicated educator and scholar in the field of economics and finance, serving as an Associate Professor at Grambling State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Mississippi, an MBA from Grambling State University, and a B.S. in Business Administration, also from Grambling State. Since joining the faculty at Grambling State University, Dr. Sly has taught a wide range of courses, including Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, Managerial Economics, and International Economics. His academic approach integrates real-world applications with foundational theory, aiming to prepare students for successful careers in both the private and public sectors.

Dr. Sly’s research spans topics such as financial economics, international trade, monetary policy, and public finance. He has contributed to numerous conferences and professional organizations, sharing insights through both presentations and peer-reviewed publications. In recognition of his excellence in teaching, research, and service, Dr. Sly has received various honors and awards, including the Larry Lundy Endowed Professor Award and the College of Business Outstanding Researcher Award.
