Regular maintenance improves the performance of the GSU ITC services and systems that our campus community rely on.

ITC is requesting designated maintenance windows that represent defined periods of time during which planned maintenance, upgrades, and changes to GSU ITC services and systems may occur. During these windows, services may be intermittent or unavailable.

Proposed Data Center maintenance windows

  • Weekly – Thursday 6pm- Midnight
  • Monthly – Third Friday 6pm – Saturday 6pm

Banner Maintenance window (This is currently approved)

  • Daily – 2:00 am – 6:00 am
  • Monthly – Third Sunday 1:00 am – 9:00 am

Blackout Periods for Maintenance

  • January
  • August
  • First 2 weeks of September

Emergency IT issues that require maintenance to occur outside of these windows may arise. During emergency IT maintenance, information will be posted on our soon to be ITC Service Status page.
